Our Elimination Diet experience began in January 2011 out of solidarity to my nearest and dearest I signed up for 30 days of Dax Moy's Elimination Diet not for the faint hearted no wheat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol or sugar. Hardcore? What do you get in return well a promise of 14-20lbs of weight loss, less fat and more energy and healthier than you ever thought possible.

Heard it all before, me too but this is one guy I really trust he is one of the top trainers out there. It is not about fad diets, counting calories, shakes or any of that just no nonense back to basics nutrition. It is very much in line with the Food Rules (Michael Pollan) that we share with our personal training clients and bootcampers this Elimination Diet says it all.

If you are looking for a quick fix this is not it. It takes discipline, dedication and planning but the results are what makes it worthwhile.

Update June 2011

Well so impressed were we with the results after a month we decided to continue Clodagh commited to ED for one year and has stuck to it religiously with the result that despite still being a confirmed exercise sceptic she is down two and a half stone and feeling healthier and more energetic than she has in years. I too am feeling the benefits definitely more energy, less aches and pains and training pretty hard. Despite losing a stone I am as strong as ever if not stronger. I can see my six pack emerging for the first time in my life. Not bad for someone in the over 40's brigade. Of course these are the cosmetic changes the benefits in terms of energy, mood and enjoyment of life in general are more than worth the effort even if you never lose a pound. After one month the results were pretty good,  enough to commit to lasting change after six months I can honestly say switching to the Elimnation diet has been truly life changing bordering on miraculous.
